Keyboard Startup Delay - Please Read
The built-in keyboard and its backlighting usually do not initialize immediately when the laptop is powered on from a complete shutdown. Occasionally, they initialize normally at startup.
Waking the laptop from sleep works normally. The keyboard startup delay only occurs when powering on from a complete shutdown. For users who typically put their laptop to sleep rather than shutting it down after each use, this issue may be less noticeable during everyday use.
The touchpad remains functional even when the built-in keyboard is initially unresponsive.
Three Tested Workarounds
Workaround Instructions and Testing Results 1. Restart Windows (Recommended) At the Windows login screen, use the touchpad to click the Power icon in the lower-right corner, then select Restart. This has consistently restored the built-in keyboard and backlighting during extensive testing. 2. Wait for Automatic Recovery The keyboard and backlighting also recover automatically without restarting. Repeated timed tests (at least 10) consistently showed a recovery time of approximately 10 minutes, although the timing may vary slightly. 3. Use an External USB Keyboard A wired or compatible wireless USB keyboard can be used immediately while waiting for the built-in keyboard to initialize.
Important for Initial Windows Setup: During the initial Windows setup process, the Restart option described in Method 1 is not available on the setup screen. Buyers should use Method 2 (wait for automatic recovery) or Method 3 (external USB keyboard) to complete setup.
Quick Startup Indicator: If the keyboard backlight illuminates during startup, it indicates that the keyboard has initialized successfully and should function normally once Windows finishes loading.
Condition:
The laptop is in excellent overall cosmetic condition, with the following minor imperfections:

• Display: Very good condition with no dead pixels or other functional display defects observed during testing. Faint keyboard contact marks are visible under strong 2,500-lumen work lighting. Screen-off photos at normal and close-up distances highlight these imperfections, while Google dark-mode photos show the display during actual use. Some smudges and lint may also be visible.
• Chassis: A small cosmetic nick along the rear edge of the top lid, as shown in the close-up photo. The rest of the chassis is in excellent condition.
• Charger: The original ASUS ROG charger has some cosmetic surface wear from normal use, as shown in the photos.

Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the listing description. We do our best to disclose noticeable cosmetic wear, but minor cosmetic wear may not be individually noted, so please evaluate cosmetic condition from the photos. We do not use cosmetic number/scale grading, as cosmetic condition can be somewhat subjective.

Wi-Fi Testing and Compatibility
The MediaTek MT7922 Wi-Fi 6E adapter was tested with the following networks:
Network Connection Testing Results Xfinity XB8 Router 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5)
866.7 Mbps negotiated link speed Stable connection with 0% packet loss over 200 pings to the router and Google (8.8.8.8). Packet loss was observed using 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), so the G14's wireless mode was adjusted to 802.11ac. No router settings were changed. iPhone 14 Pro Hotspot 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6)
1,201 Mbps negotiated link speed Connected successfully without configuration changes, with 0% packet loss over 200 pings to the hotspot gateway and Google (8.8.8.8).
Depending on your router, adjustments to the router and/or G14 wireless settings may be necessary for optimal compatibility.
