ASUS RT-N56U Dual-band Wireless-N600 Gigabit Router Never Used
In like-new condition; discarded the box when I planned to use this, but never did since cable company provided its own router and it seemed easiest to use that.
The ASUS RT-N56U is a simultaneous dual-band Wireless-N router, meaning it broadcasts on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at the same time. This allows for concurrent wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps on each band for a total of 600Mbps, and it features Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports for file and printer sharing, and a powerful processor for handling a high number of data sessions. Key features include its compact design, Gigabit hardware NAT, and functionalities like a built-in download client and network storage server.Wireless and connectivity

• Dual-band:Broadcasts on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands simultaneously to reduce interference and optimize performance for different activities.
• Speed:Supports Wireless-N and can achieve concurrent speeds of up to 300Mbps on each band (300Mbps on 2.4GHz and 300Mbps on 5GHz).
• Wired connections:Includes a Gigabit WAN port to connect to your modem and four Gigabit LAN ports for fast wired connections to other devices.
• Antennas:Features built-in, MIMO antennas for a stronger signal.

Features and functionality

• USB ports:Two USB 2.0 ports can be used to connect external storage for a network storage server, printers for network printing and scanning, or to run the Download Master client.
• Download Master:A built-in BitTorrent client that can download files directly to a connected USB storage device.
• Servers:Functions as a file server (FTP server) and UPnP AV server for sharing files across the network.
• Multiple data sessions:Designed to handle up to 300,000 data sessions, making it suitable for handling many connections at once without performance degradation.
• Green Network Technology:Includes power-saving features.

Design and setup

• Design:Described as a "Black Diamond" router due to its faceted, diamond-patterned surface, and can be placed horizontally or vertically with the included stand.
• Setup:Includes the ASUS EZ UI for simplified setup.
• Indicators:Has indicator lights for the wireless and USB ports on the front, and links/activity lights on the gigabit LAN ports.
