For sale is an Apple PowerBook PCMCIA Expansion Module, revision V1/C (Model M2864).
This is the later and more desirable V1/C revision, which is known to be compatible with PowerBook 5xx systems that have been upgraded with PowerPC accelerator cards. Earlier revisions of this module are often incompatible with PPC-upgraded PowerBooks, making the V1/C version especially sought after.
The module adds dual PCMCIA slots to compatible PowerBook models and supports a wide range of PC Card peripherals, including storage, networking, and wireless cards (subject to operating system and driver support).
Condition is good overall. The module has been carefully inspected and presents well. Please review all photos closely, as they form part of the description. This listing includes the PCMCIA Expansion Module only, as shown.
Compatibility notes:
- Apple PowerBook 5xx series
- Required revision: V1/C (this unit)
