Travel straight back to 2009 and the peak of the Frutiger Aero multimedia era with an authentic classic: an original Dell Inspiron 1545 (Model PP41L) 15.6" Widescreen Notebook PC running its factory-original Windows Vista installation!

Having the original factory operating system installation makes this machine far more desirable for collectors and retro enthusiasts: all proprietary Dell Intel GM45/GL40 chipset drivers, integrated graphics drivers, audio codecs, touchpad controls, and Dell power profiles are completely native and fully configured out of the box—with zero missing driver yellow exclamation marks!

Finished in Dell’s celebrated midnight-black glossy lid and matching interior deck with a bright 15.6" 16:9 High-Definition display, the Inspiron 1545 was engineered as a reliable everyday entertainment notebook. Powered by an authentic dual-core Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T3400 / T4300 clocked at 2.16GHz, 2.00 GB of DDR2 RAM, and an internal 160GB Western Digital Scorpio Blue SATA hard drive (Model: WD1600BEVT / 134 GB formatted NTFS C: partition with over 54.6 GB of free space plus the original factory E: recovery partition), this notebook boots cleanly and swiftly into an authentic installation of Microsoft Windows Vista complete with animated desktop sidebar gadgets and classic widgets!

For retro PC gamers and software archivists, an authentic bare-metal Windows Vista machine is an essential environment for mid-to-late 2000s PC games that run into modern OS DRM blocks, scaling glitches, or crash errors on Windows 10/11. Backed by integrated Intel graphics, it effortlessly glides through era favorites like The Sims 2, Spore, Civilization IV, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, Portal, Half-Life 2, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies, Diablo II, StarCraft, and classic PopCap titles.

Engineered for standalone productivity and entertainment, it comes equipped with an internal TSSTcorp DVD±RW / CD-RW optical burner, built-in Wi-Fi wireless networking, 3 high-speed USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 Ethernet, dual front 3.5mm audio jacks, integrated multi-card reader, and native analog VGA video output (ideal for connecting directly to external CRT gaming monitors or vintage 4:3 LCDs).

Condition Notes

• Functional Condition: 100% bench-tested and fully operational. Boots cleanly and swiftly into its original factory installation of Windows Vista with all native Dell drivers verified and desktop widgets active. The Intel dual-core processor runs cool and responsive, memory tests healthy, and the 160GB Western Digital hard drive reads and writes cleanly with an intact partition structure. The 15.6" LCD display is bright, clear, and evenly illuminated with vibrant colors. Keyboard keys, touchpad, USB ports, display output, and the optical burner function properly. Please note: Due to the age of vintage laptop lithium-ion battery cells, prolonged runtime on battery power alone cannot be guaranteed and batteries may not hold much of a charge anymore; the system operates reliably when plugged into the included AC power adapter.

• Cosmetic Condition: Great vintage condition overall. The glossy black exterior lid and interior deck are structurally solid with intact hinge tension and no cracked frame plastic. Shows light, normal cosmetic surface marks, faint shelf wear, and minor hairline scuffs on the glossy outer surfaces consistent with careful use and vintage age. The display screen is clean and free of cracks. Original palm rest badges, silver Dell lid emblem, and the underside regulatory label (Inspiron 1545) remain intact and legible. Please review the high-resolution photos for an exact look at physical condition.
