Dell Pro 14 Plus P1425 - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

• Will this work with any laptop?
It requires a host device with a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort 1.2 Alt Mode for video. Most modern business and consumer laptops with video-capable USB-C meet this requirement; laptops with USB-C for charging only (no Alt Mode) cannot display video from this monitor.
• What's the difference between the P1425 and the older P1424H?
The P1425 is the current Dell Pro 14 Plus model with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 16:10 panel. The earlier P1424H is a separate model with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 panel. They are not interchangeable, and this listing is for the P1425 only.
• Does this monitor need a separate power adapter?
No AC adapter is included. The monitor can be powered via a compatible USB-C host or a USB-PD power adapter through its USB-C port. The monitor itself only draws a maximum of 7W; the 65W figure is separate USB-C Power Delivery pass-through available to charge your connected laptop through the same cable, not the monitor's own power consumption.
