Refurbished business hardware

Lenovo ThinkPad T470s — 14" FHD, Core i7-7600U, 8GB, 256GB NVMe SSD, New Internal Battery, Windows 11 Pro

A thin 14" business ThinkPad with one of its two internal batteries freshly replaced and the genuine Lenovo charger in the box. A Core i7, 8GB of memory and a healthy NVMe drive make it a machine you can just open and use.

Why this one

• A fresh internal battery. This model runs on two internal cells. We replaced one with a new OEM battery, tested at 103% of design capacity.

• The charger is included. A genuine Lenovo 45W adapter, not a generic copy, and not an extra you have to go and buy.

• Real NVMe speed. Not a leftover SATA drive — a proper NVMe SSD, fitted with a thermal pad.

• Under 3 lb. The “s” in T470s is for slim. A full 14" machine with a proper ThinkPad keyboard you can carry all day.

What we did to it

• One internal battery replaced. This model has two internal cells; we replaced one with a new OEM battery (103% of design capacity). The second is original, at 48% health.

• Drive installed. This unit had no drive when we got it. We fitted a 256GB NVMe SSD with a thermal pad, currently reporting 86% health.

• Memory added. A 4GB stick in the empty slot brings it to 8GB total, alongside the 4GB soldered onboard.

• Clean Windows 11 Pro. Installed fresh, activated and updated, then taken to the desktop to confirm it works. It arrives at the out-of-box setup screen so the first account created on it is yours. No bloatware, no accounts of ours.

• Tested. Powered on and checked: display, keyboard, trackpad and trackpoint, every port, wifi, Bluetooth, camera, audio, and battery health.

Cosmetic condition

Good, with light wear from normal use. One rubber foot on the bottom is missing, but the unit still sits completely flat with no wobble. Nothing cracked, hinges firm, screen clear. The photos are of the exact machine you will receive, and any marks are shot close up rather than hidden at an angle.

What to know before you buy

One of two internal batteries is original. This model runs on two internal cells working together. We replaced one with a new OEM battery (103% of design capacity), but the second is the original cell at 48% health. Combined runtime will be less than a full-new-battery machine — still usable away from a socket, just not an all-day battery. We would rather say so here than have you find out from a shorter-than-expected runtime.

One foot is missing. A single rubber foot on the bottom panel is gone. The laptop still sits completely flat and stable on a desk — we would rather flag it here than have you notice it and wonder.

It is a 2017 machine. A dual-core i7-U with 8GB handles browsing, Office, video calls and streaming without complaint. It is not for gaming or video editing, and we would rather say so here than have you find out.

In the box

The laptop and a genuine Lenovo 45W charger. No original box, no manuals, no dock.

Warranty & returns. 30 days. If it fails in that window, send it back and we refund you in full. This machine is out of Lenovo factory coverage, so our 30 days is the warranty. Shipped in a padded laptop sleeve inside a box cut close to the machine, leaving virtually no room for error.
