Very Rare Vintage IBM System/370 Model 145 Mainframe CPU Operator Console Front Panel + Original Header/Banner – Museum ShowpieceFor sale is the crown jewel of any IBM System/370 collection: an authentic IBM System/370 Model 145 Mainframe CPU Operator Console Front Panel complete with its original top Masthead (“IBM System 370”).This is the exact iconic console I used daily as a Systems Programmer in the mid-1970s — my very first System/370 system. It features the full array of diagnostic lights, rotary switches, data entry keys, and illuminated indicator sections that defined the golden era of IBM mainframe computing.Condition highlights (exactly as shown):

These full CPU operator consoles from the System/370 era are exceptionally scarce. Most were scrapped when the machines were decommissioned, making complete front panels with the banner almost impossible to find.Shipping note: This is a very heavy item (large metal panel + masthead assembly). It would require freight shipping. Local pickup strongly preferred (US, contact me for location), because I would like for the buyer to view the panel first before we complete the transaction on .Untested electronically (sold as-is for display/collecting), but visually stunning and 100% original IBM hardware. A genuine piece of computing history from the System/370 days!Photos show the exact item. Serious collectors only — this is the centerpiece of my personal collection
