For sale is a Sonnet Crescendo G3 400/1M processor upgrade card for first-generation NuBus Power Macintosh systems.
This is the original 400 MHz Crescendo G3/NuBus model (C61G3-400-KIT) with 1 MB of backside cache, not the later Fortissimo version.
The Crescendo G3 replaces the original PowerPC 601 processor with a substantially faster PowerPC 750 (G3) processor and installs directly into the Macintosh Processor Direct Slot (PDS).
Sonnet's AutoConfigure technology automatically detects the host system and configures the processor to the appropriate operating speed. Depending on the host system and bus speed, this 400 MHz model can operate at 300, 330, 333, 366, or 400 MHz.
