- Review the list to make sure yours is compatible. Not all Satellites made in that era were compatible (I.E. the 410CDT or 420CDS Satellite models were made just before the era of compatibility with these modules)

- Since my slightly earlier made 410CDT is not compatible with these modules internally I was unable to fully test this drive

- HOWEVER, since the drive shares the same exact SelectBay input (exact same looking hardware but not compatible) I was able to do a POWER TEST. This drive DID POWER UP just fine because my 410CDT is identical to the later versions of Satelites and Tecras in this regard- the power and ground pins are located in the same spot on the connector. Bench testing did not make the incompatibility obvious to me at first because I assumed (correctly) that the drive had to have its belt replaced before moving forward in any capacity

- LONG STORY SHORT, this drive has had a BRAND NEW BELT installed prior to listing. I cleaned out the remains of the old one, cleaned the are around it and installed the new belt. After installation I rotated it by hand enough times to ensure that it sits flat and flush with the proper tension. The tension feels right and I believe that it’s ready to go!
