At The Old PC Shop, We Bring the Past to Life!
Up for your consideration is a restored Dell OptiPlex GXa computerexpertly configured for DOS and Windows 95 gaming! It features an Intel Pentium II 266MHz CPU, 128MB RAM, a 3 GB hard drive, a 3.5" floppy drive, a CD-ROM drive, 4 MB 3D AGP video, and Crystal ISA sound configured for both Windows and DOS gaming. The floppy drive and the CD-ROM have been cleaned and were used to install all software.
A clean install of Windows95 has been done on a 3 GB hard drive (drive passed all diagnostics). I have configured my exclusive dekstop PIF files which reboot the PC into Real Mode DOS - One boot has 624 XMS support for your memory hungry DOS games, while the second has 624K XMS and 32MB of EMS support for those games and legacy applications which require it. Real Mode DOS gaming support tested with several Sierra DOS games like Space Quest IV which ran great (DOS games not included - Just used for testing). I have installed, and am including for free, the great Sierra game Phantasmagoria for free!
These Dell's are built like tanks (and actually kind of look like tanks!). The case is in solid shape with a case punch-out having been removed at some point in it's past - Please see the pictures. The rear connections reference graphic is missing so I have included a picture of it here with the sale. You get copies of all software used in the PC's setup and configuration including the Windows 95 install CD, boot floppy, manual, and COA. A new CMOS battery is installed. A new PS/2 mouse, and a power cord are included. A keyboard, monitor, and speakers are not included. Again, please see the pictures for details and feel free to ask questions.
