This listing is for an ultra rare version of the Mac SE! TEMPEST was a unique certification for computers hardened to prevent electromagnetic eavesdropping. Basically a very fancy NSA or NATO certification to prevent computers from emitting detectable information that could be intercepted. I can not imagine how much a piece of hardware like this originally cost!
This particular SE is in rough shape so please look close at photos. I does power on to boot chime but the display did not light up so it will need repairs. Could be cold solder joints, a common issue on the SE and like. Everything that connects is custom, so I have no way to test the included mouse. There is no keyboard and what I assume is a hard drive module that slide into the bottom front. The privacy screen material is damaged. You can find replacement material online and heat to shape it to the display. Overall it appears it was stored in a damp area. The metal works are painted with some paint chipping off here and there.
There are four seals on this machine. Three are very basic silver ones and all three are intact. There is a fourth on the Mac plastic shell halves and looks more like a "warranty void" sticker which has been removed and left residue.I have no opened up the SE or done any work to it other than the power on tests. To be clear this is being sold as-is for part or repair and could make for a very cool and unique addition to any collection!
Because of the nature of this computer, I will not ship internationally.
