NETWORK REQUIREMENTS:A 10Gb-capable switch or other compatible 10Gb network device is required for a 10Gb connection. Cat6A cabling is recommended for 10Gb connections up to 100 meters.
This X540 adapter does NOT support 2.5Gbps or 5Gbps link speeds. (To go down in speed you need to use a multi-gig 10GB network switch) It ONLY supports 10Gbps and 1Gbps natively.
