For Sale is a Bondi iMac G3
BE AWARE THE BOX SMELLS OF BASEMENT, AND THE MACHINE SHOWS EVIDENCE OF THIS AS WELL!!!
(THE BOX IS MUCH WORSE THAN THE MACHINE, I'VE BEEN RUNNING IT NONSTOP TO BURN THE SMELL OUT, BUT NOW IT IS BACK IN A MUSTY BAG IN THE MUSTY BOX)
Has the original (with Peter's name on it) box, accessories, and paperwork. This is a rare chance to experience a 1998 iMac.
Has a bonus Epson printer USB adapter with an Epson Driver disc for a Stylus 440.
The pram battery was replaced with a new one so this machine boots and keeps time correctly.
It does have a tick noise that happens every ~20 minutes. A quick screen flicker accompanies the sound. This noise happened much more rapidly when I first started inspecting and restoring it. It should just be dust particles burning up, and could eventually stop. There are some tool marks in places from someone using something metal to pry the case apart before me, but I didn't even notice the marks until I had gotten the software restored and started pulling apart myself.
Makes the original mac startup chime.
Looks to have a 20gb HD installed instead of the original 4gb. The drive has been restored using the original CDs (included) to MacOS 8.5 to give it the original out of box experience. The MacOS 8.5 cd is also included as is Kai's photo soap, adobe page mill, williams sonoma Quicken, and MDK (the original bundled disks).
The case on this iMac is really good - no cracks, feet are still intact, the port door is present.
It does appear to have some humidity damage, but functions well despite. (You can see some rust through the top, and there was some on the hard drive cage as well)
A bottom clip appears to have some minor cracking, but everything else looks great.
It does have some aging coloration of the inner gray plastics. Otherwise the outer shell is still pretty bright.

The original box, manuals, paperwork, and shipping foam are included. Even the original receipt! It does have a bit of a musty smell presumably from being stored in a basement. Original CD set is included. Original Power Cord is included.
Keyboard and mouse cords also have some patina, but the hard plastic shell look great.
