WHAT THIS IS
A lot of SIX IBM AS/400 main storage memory modules, 512MB per module and 3GB total. Each one is a 168-pin SDR SDRAM PC100 ECC DIMM carrying IBM part number 04N5943, and all six match IBM main storage feature code 3026 for AS/400 and iSeries 9406 systems, models 270, 800 and 810. IBM's iSeries and AS/400e System Builder defines feature 3026 as 512 MB Main Storage (DIMM, 256 Mb technology, unstacked), and IBM's V5R3 Analyze Hardware Problems parts table pairs CCIN 3026 with part number 04N5943. These are server main storage cards that were pulled from equipment taken out of service. They are sold untested and as-is.
EXACT SPECS
Capacity per module: 512MBTotal capacity in this lot: 3GB across six modulesMemory type: SDR SDRAMSpeed: PC100, 100 MHzForm factor: 168-pin DIMMVoltage: 3.3VError correction: ECCOrganization: 64Mx72. Each board carries 18 DRAM devices of 256Mb x4, which comes to 72 bits wide and 512MB usable.IBM part number: 04N5943IBM CA part number: 04N5944. That is the card assembly number for this same board, not a second part.EC level: F3778Board silkscreen: 110 99H4343 01IBM feature code and CCIN: 3026The Samsung TC1L suffix on the DRAM is the 100 MHz CL3 bin, which is where the PC100 rating comes from.
WHAT IS INCLUDED, COUNTED
Six modules.
Serial numbers, all of them 04N5943 prefixed: YL10C5171167, YL1081254075, YL1080302020, YL1081254059, YL1081298015, YL1081298009.
The DRAM comes from three different manufacturers across the six boards, which is normal for IBM main storage of this period:3 modules with Samsung K4S560432A-TC1L or K4S560432B-TC1L1 module with Hynix HY57V56420CT-H2 modules with Mitsubishi M2V56S20TP
Several boards have an IBM logo at the PCB edge and an Assembled in US sticker. One board reads MADE IN CZECH REP, so country of manufacture is mixed inside the lot.
CONDITION, UNTESTED
These are pulls. All six are sold untested and strictly as-is. The photos are of the actual modules in this lot. Buy on the photos and on the part numbers, serials and chip markings listed above.COMPATIBILITY
These are the 512MB main storage cards for IBM AS/400 and iSeries 9406 systems, models 270, 800 and 810, where IBM's main storage feature code 3026 is the correct card. If your machine's configuration or its service documentation calls for feature 3026, CCIN 3026, or part number 04N5943, this is that card. Main storage placement rules differ by model and by processor feature, so check how many cards your model's slot group takes, and in what arrangement, before you order. A lot of six suits someone filling out a machine or keeping spares on the shelf for one already in service.
WHAT IT WILL NOT WORK IN
This is server main storage. Do not buy it for an ordinary desktop PC. An AS/400 main storage card is not a drop in replacement for a consumer motherboard of the same era and should not be bought as one.
If you are building or fixing a retro desktop and you need 168-pin memory, the modules those systems take are a different part, non-ECC and not server main storage, and these will not serve that use.
These are not DDR, DDR2 or DDR3, not laptop SO-DIMM, and not a 1GB or larger card. Do not order them for an IBM system whose documentation calls for a main storage feature code other than 3026 without first checking the part number against your own machine.
