For sale is a switchable HDI-30 to DB25 female SCSI/Dock adapter for compatible Apple Macintosh PowerBook computers.
The adapter connects to the PowerBook’s HDI-30 SCSI port and provides a DB25 female connection for a suitable SCSI cable. Its built-in switch selects between normal SCSI operation for connecting external peripherals, such as a BlueSCSI, SCSI hard drives and CD-ROM drives, and Dock mode for using a supported PowerBook as an external hard disk connected to another Macintosh.
SCSI disk mode is useful for transferring files, backing up data, and installing system software from another compatible Mac. Support for this function depends on the PowerBook model.
The adapter has a compact right-angle housing and is labelled “HDI SCSI/DOCK Adapter,” with switch positions marked “SCSI OFF” and “DOCK ON.”
Includes the pictured adapter only. Additional SCSI cables and any required termination are not included. Please confirm that your PowerBook has the appropriate HDI-30 SCSI port and supports your intended operating mode.
