Vintage Canon Typestar 5R Personal Typewriter & Thermal Printer - With Accessories

This listing is for an incredibly rare vintage Canon Typestar 5R. This specific "R" variant features a built-in Centronics parallel computer interface, allowing it to double as a retro PC thermal printer!

Included in this bundle:

* Canon Typestar 5R Unit

* Original Canon AD-6II AC Power Adapter

* Original Instruction Manual

* DB25 to Centronics Parallel Printer Cable

* One (1) used Canon ribbon cassette (currently installed in the unit)

Condition Notes:

This unit is in Good used condition and has been tested to power on, advance the carriage, and strike/print to paper successfully! It is missing the physical keycap for the number '6', however, the mechanical switch underneath is fully intact and registers perfectly when pressed. The unit shows minor cosmetic wear from age, and the included installed ribbon is quite faint due to age. This is a fantastic retro computing piece, ready for use or for harvesting the highly sought-after vintage Alps keycaps, switches, OEM power supply, and parallel cable!
