Cisco NVIDIA Tesla P6 16GB MXM GPU ACCELERATOR - Untested
Price: US $60.00
Selling to maintain my sanity. I assume this works, because its twin works fine. However, I never want to see this again, so it is AS-IS.
Warning: This chip will choose violince. This is a cisco branded Tesla Referral P6 16GB card. Please do research into this card to determine if it is right for you. I am selling due to the firmware not being what I need (It was mislabeled as HP Tesla Referral P6 when I bought). I was unable to clip onto the vbios chip properly to re-flash, and I give up. This is being sold as untested, as I cannot get it to enumerate with the current bios. Note that there is minor scratching around the vbios chip from my sad attempt to do this myself (3rd picture). Highly unlikely that this did anything, other than demoralize me.
The other P6 I bought with this chip had very minor damage to some chips (this one is in great shape) and it works perfectly after it was flashed to HP P6 firmware. That is working in a Dell 7720 Precision laptop (using it as a GPU requires some know-how, use of Optimus, some regedits, and an older dell bios in 7720, but it works as well as a p5000 now). -note again, this whole section is talking about the twin to this card that did what I wanted it to do... it had a vbios chip that liked me and my bios clip, whereas this chip might be a demon.
Again, selling AS-IS because I cannot get it to reflash for testing. I am selling it at a huge discount of my purchase price for this reason. I hope you have better luck than I did... this is likely a perfectly working GPU, and a better technician can probably get it working.
CISCO bios NOT HP bios. Likely in need of flashing for it to work in your project.
OH, and it includes a mounting bracket off of an AMD MXM. They don't tell you that you need that in laptops!
Good luck fellow enthusiast and tinkerers.
Oh, I did get it to pop up for a millisecond with my CH341 clip a few times, but never long enough to say it actually works, and never with a real detection on the chip. I really do think this is just me failing. I hope you can get it to work.
