The larger end of the cable connects to the 68-pin connector on the NM-16A or NM-32A module installed in a Cisco router.NM-16A is a network management module that supports 16 asynchronous interfaces. It can accept two octal cables. NM-32A is a network management module that supports 32 asynchronous interfaces. It can accept four octal cables.The router into which a NM-16A or NM-32A module is installed can be configured to operate as a terminal server.
Condition:
This Cisco octal cable has been used, but it is in very good condition.All 8 leads on this cable function.
The clips on all eight of the RJ-45 ends are attached. The clip on cable #8 (labeled CTR2.1.15) is held in place with tape. Clips on the other seven are in very good condition.
History:This cisco octal cable served in my lab for many years as I taught authorized and customized networking courses including CCIE Prep classes, BGP, MPLS, IPv6, and basic CCNP-level courses.The time has come for my cisco devices to go to a new home. I hope they will be useful to students who are studying for networking certifications.
