This listing is for a vintage Cornerstone Imaging ImageAccel 2 professional PCI graphics accelerator, model PCI1608C/21.
The ImageAccel 2 was designed primarily for professional accelerated 2D graphics, including CAD, CAM, drafting, engineering, desktop publishing, and other workstation-oriented applications. It is not a gaming-oriented VGA card.
The card uses an onboard graphics coprocessor for accelerated 2D operations. The appropriate Cornerstone driver must be installed in a supported operating system in order for applications to take advantage of this acceleration hardware.
These cards were also designed to operate with a range of fixed-frequency and professional workstation monitors. An onboard 8-position DIP switch is used to configure the card for the connected display.
Tested: All cards have been tested and are fully functional. Important - Not Recommended for DOS Gaming This is not a high-speed DOS gaming graphics card. DOS games and other software that access VGA hardware directly do not take advantage of the accelerated operating-system driver or the card's onboard graphics coprocessor. The proper driver is required to make full use of the ImageAccel 2's onboard graphics coprocessor and accelerated 2D functions.

The card includes an 8-position DIP switch used to configure the display controller. Switches 1 through 4 select the connected display. Switches 5, 7 and 8 have no function. Switch 6 controls the onboard ImageAccel VGA chip.
- Switch 6 ON: Onboard ImageAccel VGA chip enabled
- Switch 6 OFF: Onboard ImageAccel VGA chip disabled
- Switches 5, 7 and 8: No function
DIP Switch Orientation: ON is when the switch is moved toward the circuit board. OFF is when the switch is moved away from the circuit board. Important: The switch settings are read only when the computer is powered on. After changing a DIP switch setting, completely power down the computer before restarting it. A keyboard reset or computer reset button may not completely reset the ImageAccel display controller.
