DSLRKIT MID8P2U-E250 Passive PoE Injector Switch

This is a 10-port Passive PoE switch featuring 8 PoE power delivery ports and 2 uplink ports. It is designed for Power Devices (PD) compatible with the 802.3af/at standard (Mode B), providing stable power and network connectivity for devices such as Wireless Access Points, IP Phones, IP Cameras, and Gateways.

Port Configuration: 10 x 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation RJ-45 ports (8 PoE ports, 2 uplink ports).

• Power Standard: Compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at Powered Devices. Uses Midspan Mode B (4,5+ / 7,8-) unsolicited passive power injection.

• Power per Port: Maximum output 52V DC / 50W per port.

• Total Power Budget: Maximum output 120W (Power Adapter: 52V, up to 140W).

• EXTEND Mode: Supports EXTEND mode, increasing maximum network cable distance to 250 meters when enabled.

• Plug & Play: Each port supports auto MDI/MDIX, eliminating the need for crossover cables. Supports full/half-duplex transfer modes.

Passive (Non-Standard) PoE: This is aPassive PoEdevice. ItDOES NOTinclude the standard 802.3af/at handshake detection. It supplies power continuously.ONLYconnect PoE ports (Ports 1-8) to devices designed to receive PoE power.

1. EXTEND Mode Notes:

   • When EXTEND mode is enabled, the maximum bandwidth for PoE ports 1-8 is reduced to 10Mbps each.

   • It is recommended to set the bitstream of connected devices (e.g., IP Cameras) not to exceed 8Mbps (8192 Kbps) for stable network performance.

   • The uplink port speed is unaffected, remaining at a maximum of 100Mbps.

2. Compatibility Warnings:

   • The PoE ports on this switchsupport 10/100Mbps only and DO NOT support Gigabit Ethernet, as power is delivered over wire pairs 4,5,7,8.

   • NEVERconnect non-PoE devices (e.g., regular computers, Gigabit switches) to the PoE power delivery ports, as thisWILL DAMAGEthe connected device.

3. Power & Consumption:

   • To ensure stable operation, the total power consumption of all connected devices on PoE ports should not exceed the power supply's 120W rating.

   • The included 52V power adapter is designed to compensate for voltage drop over long cable distances, ensuring reliable operation of remote devices.

4. Device Selection Tip: If your camera is labeled "12V/PoE", it means it can be powered via a 12V DC port OR a 48V/52V PoE Ethernet port. Please select this 52V PoE switch, not a 12V version.
