Step straight back to the year 2000 and the turn-of-the-millennium PC boom with an exceptionally rare, museum-grade time capsule: an original Dell Dimension L800r Desktop PC running its factory-original Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition installation!

Having the original factory operating system installation makes this system exceptionally desirable for collectors, archivists, and retro enthusiasts: all proprietary Dell Intel 810 chipset drivers, integrated display drivers, audio codecs, modem drivers, and native period OEM software suites (including Microsoft Works Suite, EarthLink, and Dell Solution Center) are completely intact and fully configured out of the box—with zero missing driver yellow exclamation marks!

Finished in Dell’s celebrated turn-of-the-millennium industrial warm-beige mini-tower chassis with sculpted curves, front round power button, lower intake vents, and the classic blue Dell serif logo, the Dimension L-Series was Dell's definitive home computer for the Y2K era. Powered by an authentic Socket 370 Intel Pentium III processor running at 800MHz (Coppermine 180nm architecture, 256KB on-die full-speed L2 cache, 133MHz FSB), 64MB of high-speed SDRAM (63.0MB recognized after integrated video allocation), and an internal 20GB Ultra ATA hard drive (18.6 GB formatted FAT32 C: partition with over 10.3 GB of free space), this system boots cleanly and swiftly into an authentic installation of Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Windows ME 4.90.3000) complete with classic animated start menu and desktop icons!

For retro PC gamers, vintage hardware collectors, and archivists, an authentic bare-metal Pentium III 800MHz machine running native Windows 9x/ME architecture is the sweet spot for 1990s through early-2000s classics that run into severe timing bugs, sound emulation latency, or crash-to-desktop errors on modern operating systems. It natively powers through legendary era blockbusters like Diablo & Diablo II, StarCraft & Brood War, Half-Life & Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament (1999), Quake II & III Arena, Age of Empires I & II, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, RollerCoaster Tycoon, The Sims (2000), Deus Ex, Thief II, Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition, Fallout 2, and classic DOS/Windows 95/98 disc releases.

Condition Notes

• Functional Condition: 100% bench-tested and fully operational. Boots cleanly and swiftly into its original factory installation of Windows Millennium Edition with all native Dell drivers, diagnostic routines, and period desktop software verified. The Intel Pentium III 800MHz processor runs cool and responsive, SDRAM tests healthy, and the 20GB IDE hard drive reads and writes cleanly with a healthy FAT32 partition. The 3.5" floppy drive reads disks properly, the CD-ROM drive ejects and reads media smoothly, cooling fans spin freely, and the onboard VGA port outputs a crisp, rock-solid display signal.

• Cosmetic Condition: Great vintage collector condition overall. The classic warm-beige front bezel, sculpted lower intake vents, top release latch, and heavy steel side panels are structurally rock-solid with no broken covers, missing feet, or cracked plastic. Shows light, authentic, uniform vintage patina, faint shelf wear, and minor surface marks consistent with careful preservation and 25+ years of age. Original front badges, embossed Dell logo, rear service tag barcode label (HZWQ801), and rear port labeling remain intact and fully legible.
