You are buying a new in open box Forcepoint 3305 network appliance (AsRock MC-C612FM) that has been loaded with a fresh installation of ESXi 8*.
It is powered by dual 12 core Xeon E5-2680 v3 CPUs, and comes with 64GB of RAM (4x 16GB DDR4 RDIMMs), a 480GB SSD drive (configured as VM datastore) and a 64GB USB key (ESXi boot drive). In addition to the two onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports and 40Gb QSFP+ port, it comes with an 8 port Gigabit module and a quad port SFP module.
The ESXi dashboard can be accessed using either one of the onboard Ethernet ports (configured via DHCP) with root and Passw0rd credentials. The BMC (IPMI) is also configured via DHCP and can be accessed with admin/admin credentials.
Having a short depth case (17") and very quiet fans, this device is ideal for a homelab server. It can accommodate 2x 2.5" drives and has two extra slots for additional networking modules.
