This machine has been thoroughly tested, and its hard drive has been cleared via DOS/FDISK to make it a blank canvas for its next collector. Sold As-is for vintage hardware/restoration. Please read full details below.
What is included:

• IBM ThinkPad T20 Laptop Base Unit (Model 2647-44U) tested

• Internal 12GB IBM Hard Drive (cleaned, unallocated, and fully detected in BIOS) tested

• Genuine IBM UltraBay 2000 24x CD-ROM Drive Module (PN 27L4301) tested

• Genuine IBM UltraBay 2000 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive Module (PN 08K9606) tested

• Genuine IBM AC Power Adapter Charger (16V / 4.5A / 72W) (PN 08K8208) tested

• Note: The main laptop battery has been completely removed and is NOT included due to shipping regulations on degraded vintage batteries. The system runs flawlessly when plugged into the wall with the included AC adapter.

Verified Functional Aspects:

• Power & Motherboard: Powers on instantly using the included genuine AC adapter. It successfully passes the initial POST and displays the vintage IBM boot logo

• BIOS & Hard Drive: You can enter the system BIOS setup menu smoothly by pressing F1 at startup. The motherboard perfectly detects the internal 12GB IBM hard drive.

• Modular Drives Tested: Both the Floppy drive and the 24x CD-ROM drive have been physically tested in the UltraBay slot. The floppy drive (08K9606) boots successfully to DOS diskettes. The CD-ROM drive (27L4301) was tested and successfully initialized a full Windows 98 Setup environment. (Windows 98 was removed after The 14.1" TFT LCD screen turns on, is fully legible, and works as intended with no visible bleeding or cracks in the display panel itself.

Cosmetic & Known Defects

• Casing crack and scratches: There is a cosmetic crack on the plastic outer casing bezel surrounding the display. This does not affect the performance or functionality of the LCD screen itself, which displays cleanly

• No OS Installed: The hard drive has been cleared of all partitions and data. The unit currently boots to the standard BIOS hardware prompts, ready for you to install your own OS.

• Battery Light Notice: Because the main battery is completely removed, the battery indicator light on the hinge may flash orange or stay dark when powered on. The system is designed to run perfectly fine on continuous AC wall power with the included adapter.
