Up for sale is a rare, vintage Iomega Holographic Floptical 3.5" Internal Drive (Model F201 / Io20S). Developed in the early 1990s as a high-capacity alternative to traditional floppy drives, this unit sits at a fascinating intersection of magnetic and optical storage history.
This specific unit features the distinct "Iomega Holographic" branding on the left of the faceplate and the "Floptical" logo on the right.
Provenance & Pedigree:
This drive comes directly from the my father's private estate collection. He was a former MCI Telecommunications Engineer who was active in the industry from the 1980s through 2012. It has been meticulously stored in a clean, smoke-free, climate-controlled tech environment. Given its exceptional origin and immaculate physical condition, this unit is a true survivor.

• Cosmetic Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The classic beige faceplate is bright with minimal signs of aging or yellowing. The metal housing is clean with light wear from historic mounting.
• Rear Connector & Pins: The 50-pin SCSI connector array is in perfect physical shape. The pins are straight, clean, and completely free of corrosion.
• Internal PCB Status: The bottom logic board is fully exposed, clean, and shows zero signs of component degradation, burned traces, or leaked capacitors. The original factory warranty sticker and "Laser Klasse 1" labels remain fully intact.
Testing & Operational Status:
• UNTESTED. Because I do not personally possess a vintage legacy PC setup, a compatible SCSI controller card, ribbon cables, or 21MB floptical media, I am unable to bench-test its read/write capabilities or mechanical integrity.
