This external USB LG Blu-ray/DVD writer comes with its cable and has been tested and works. I've used this to watch blu-rays through VLC using MakeMKV, and can confirm it can read discs properly. The writer itself has cosmetic wear, and the cable has a minor kink but it still works properly
