The Absolute Holy Grail of Optical Drives – Collector's Dream Complete in Box (CIB)Up for sale is a museum-grade, complete-in-box Plextor PX-760A internal ATAPI/IDE drive. A true once in a blue moon find. To retro tech collectors, audiophiles, and digital archivists, this isn't just an optical drive—it is widely considered the pinnacle of optical storage engineering before the industry shifted entirely to cheap, outsourced manufacturing. This unicorn of a bundle is a very rare find that you will rarely find in this condition and this complete. We will ship it in a very safe manner and fill the empty holes in the box as well to make sure the CD/DVD drive as well as all accessories are safe in transit.
🔥 Why This Drive Demands a Premium:

• The Last "True" Plextor: This model was the very last internal DVD burner entirely designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house by Plextor using their legendary custom Sanyo chipsets. Everything after this model was a cheap, rebadged Lite-On or Optiarc drive.
• The World’s First 18x Burner: A historic hardware milestone. It pushed physical red-laser DVD recording to its absolute mechanical limits, featuring advanced AutoStrategy self-learning technology to optimize the laser for any blank media.
• Audiophile & Archival Weapon: This drive supports the elite PlexTools Professional suite, giving you access to GigaRec (squeezing up to 1GB of data onto a standard 700MB CD-R) and VariRec (manual laser-power adjustment for pristine audio CD burning with minimal jitter).
• Unmatched Completeness: Finding a working PX-760A is incredibly rare, but finding one in this condition is a unicorn.
