SMART and manufacturer health values are diagnostic snapshots, not predictions of future service life. A passing result means the drive met the stated test criteria when tested; no used drive can be guaranteed never to develop errors after shipment.

Enterprise SAS notice: Some drives originate from storage arrays and may use 520-byte sectors or vendor firmware. Standard PCs, NAS systems, RAID controllers, USB adapters, and operating systems may require 512-byte formatting, compatible firmware, or supported SAS hardware. The buyer is responsible for confirming compatibility. A SATA controller cannot operate a SAS drive.

DATA SANITIZATION: Drives identified as sanitized or blank contain no operating system or usable customer data. Sanitization does not install partitions, filesystems, firmware, or an operating system. Buyers may need to initialize, partition, and format drives before use.

CAPACITY: Manufacturers advertise capacity using decimal units. Operating systems may display a lower numerical capacity because of binary reporting, formatting, reserved areas, or controller configuration; this is normal and is not a defect.

PASSTESTED WORKING: Completed the stated test procedure without disqualifying errors. Review the manifest for power-on hours, health data, and item-specific notes. BASICBASIC TEST / DETECTED: Recognized by test equipment and completed only the checks expressly disclosed. Not represented as having passed a full surface scan or extended endurance test. UNTESTEDUNKNOWN CONDITION: No functional guarantee unless the listing expressly provides one. FAILFAILED / PARTS OR REPAIR: Reported errors, failed a stated procedure, was not reliably detected, or has another documented defect. Sold as-is without warranty. Condition disclosure: Labels may have inventory marks, residue, scratches, or wear. Cosmetic condition does not determine drive health. Items identified as PASS include a 14-day hardware warranty unless the listing expressly states otherwise. The warranty covers verified hardware failures that prevent a covered item from operating consistently with its documented test results.

Not covered: Data recovery, data loss, consequential loss, software, filesystems, RAID configuration, firmware modification, buyer compatibility, unsupported sector-format conversion, future service life, cosmetic appearance, normal acoustic differences, post-delivery damage, improper installation or handling, modification or repair, disclosed attributes, or drives identified as FAIL, UNTESTED, AS-IS, or PARTS/REPAIR.

Contact Surplus Tech USA within 14 calendar days of confirmed delivery and provide the affected item or asset number, a description of the failure, and reasonable supporting information. Do not repair, modify, disassemble, or remove parts before contacting us about a warranty claim.

Shipping & Delivery

Equipment is carefully packaged for commercial shipment. Delivery is made only to the eligible address provided with the order.

FREIGHT BUYERS: Verify that your address can receive the described shipment. Additional charges caused by an incorrect address, inaccessible location, residential classification, re-delivery, storage, or unlisted services may be the buyer's responsibility where permitted by policy.
